Europe's Largest Bank Network Adds Ethereum and Solana Trading

Customers of the regional savings group in Germany can now access XRP and other digital tokens through their mobile banking apps. DekaBank facilitates the service for five participating institutions, enabling the trade of Ethereum and Solana alongside Bitcoin to a user base of 40 million people.

The system charges a fee of €0.99 per trade plus a spread, and restricts transfers to keep holdings within the bank's internal ecosystem. Sparkassen is Europe's largest banking network, and by prohibiting withdrawals to self-custody wallets, it maintains full custody of all assets purchased by its users.
