Delegates from multiple Asian nations abandoned the plenary hall on Oct. 15 while the president of Israel addressed a diplomatic summit in Azerbaijan. Representatives from Turkey, Iran, Kuwait and Pakistan walked out during a speech by Isaac Herzog at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku.

The Emir of Qatar and delegations from the UAE and Bahrain remained in the hall to listen to the address. The event is dedicated to facilitating interaction and confidence-building measures among participating member states across Asia.
