Zcash Denies ZRC-20 Token Standard Launch in Fraud Warning

Zcash associates and community members issued warnings on Sept. 20 that reports of a new ZRC-20 token standard are fraudulent. Zooko shared alerts stating that Zcash released no such standard and cautioned against daily fraud attempts. The claims circulated as news of a newly launched technical standard for the $ZEC cryptocurrency.

Data from Cipherscan confirmed there are no ZRC-20 tokens on the Zcash network. These alerts urged investors to spread awareness of the fake launch to prevent financial loss, noting that no such token standard has been developed by the project.
