The company used the B1100 airframe, marking the first time it has utilized the 100th Falcon 9 Block 5 booster ever produced, to execute the USSF-385 mission for the Space Force. Thick fog at the California launch site provided high-contrast visuals of the rocket's ascent.

The flight's first stage landed on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You following orbital insertion. The Block 5 iteration is the current standard for the heavy-lift rocket, designed for high reusability and rapid turnaround for government and commercial clients.
