The initiative includes a donation of $100 million in compute credits from National Compute, a firm that aggregates capacity from major technology providers, and an additional $100 million for the public sector. This network is designed to provide government-backed researchers with high-end infrastructure that is typically unavailable outside of the largest AI firms. National Compute is also introducing a system for federal agencies to test frontier AI models before they are deployed.
