Meta has appointed Dina Powell McCormick to oversee external affairs as the company transitions its policy leadership. CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that outgoing chief Joel Kaplan handled virtually every difficult issue the firm encountered during a tenure of more than 15 years.

Kaplan leaves his position as chief global affairs officer and top Washington adviser in 2027. He spent over a decade managing the company's regulatory and political strategy in D.C. while maintaining close ties with Donald Trump.
