The software replicates the original pitch, tone, and rhythm of the Baroness, who has spinal muscular atrophy affecting her speech. According to ElevenLabs, this event marks the first time in the history of the UK Parliament that a recreated voice has been used to deliver a speech.

The company's voice synthesis technology has restored the voices of more than 11,000 people who lost them due to illness or injury. ElevenLabs has committed to expanding its reach to assist 1 million people worldwide living with voice loss.
