The most recent iteration of the Viper fighter jet successfully completed a test flight this week, marking the lauch of the aircraft's newest production standard. This Pratt & Whitney-powered aircraft, designated as the Block 72, is the first of its configuration to be airborne and represents the latest evolution of the aircraft's capabilities.

The milestone follows a prolonged interval since Morocco signed on as the launch customer for the variant seven years ago. This maiden flight moves the procurement process forward for the North African nation, which has been waiting for the first of its ordered fighters to leave the ground.
