Charge d'affaires a.i. Bogdan Klich sent a formal letter to Tucker Carlson seeking a public retraction of statements that insulted the memory of the victims of the Shoah and those who died fighting Nazism. The Polish Embassy in Washington accused the media personality of insulting Polish and British citizens, as well as hundreds of thousands of American soldiers who were killed or wounded fighting Nazi Germany.

The diplomatic mission's communication states that Carlson has now become "an apologist for Adolf Hitler." The embassy is demanding a public apology to address what it described as outrageous statements that target allies and victims of the Second World War.
