More than 100 suspicious letters have been sent to election offices nationwide, including those of various Secretaries of State, ahead of the November 3 midterms. Some letters featured return addresses linked to the Democratic Socialists of America, according to investigations by the FBI, U.S. Capitol Police, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Federal officials noted the timing of some deliveries coincided with the 25th anniversary of the anthrax attacks on Capitol Hill.
