Google Replaces Fitbit Charge With $180 Edge Wearable

Pre-orders open today for a health tracker featuring 64GB of storage and a 1.34 inch oval OLED screen. The wearable ships on October 27 and is designed to fit between the health-focused Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch 5 in Google's product lineup. It provides seven days of battery life and an IP68 water resistance rating, though it lacks built-in microphones and speakers for phone calls.

The device replaces the Fitbit Charge 6 and marks the end of the Charge product line. Standard models in Fog, Canyon, Olive, or Obsidian colors cost $180, while a Stephen Curry special edition with a sweat-wicking orange and rye band costs $220. Google has designed the Edge to be 45% lighter than an Apple Watch Series 12 and all its current wearables now sync to the Google Health app.
