This technical update covers 7.8 million businesses that collectively account for 0.45% of the world's GDP. Internal benchmarks show that the implementation reduces token usage by 42% and lowers checkout latency by 39% during AI agent transactions.

WebMCP allows AI agents to complete payments in a browser using the Stripe Checkout interface. The update is currently available to all merchants using hosted pages, reducing the time and computational resources required for automated software to finalize a transaction.
