Kansas Police Release Driver Without Charges After Truck Killed 2

A 34 year old woman was freed from custody on Oct. 18 after her vehicle plowed into a youth soccer game at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita. Authorities released the driver without charges or a formal explanation, the New York Post reported. The Oct. 17 crash left a 6 year old boy and a 35 year old man dead and injured 10 other people.

Witnesses told police that the driver revved her engine before striking pedestrians and that two children were passengers in the truck at the time. Police have not yet determined if the incident was intentional but stated there is no ongoing threat to the public. The woman is currently cooperating with the investigation.
